AT&T Customer Service experience

Yesterday I called ATT cus serv to change my post paid plan to pre paid. That was a more than horrible experience

I started the call at around 7:00 am. Through minimal hassle I got it right to the agents and then got transferred to GoPhone. That process took around 40 mins.
GoPhone automated asked my phone number but I didn't have it because I was there to get the GoPhone prepaid (gophone is part of ATT). Then I got a good bye as I don't have GoPh number. Then the real nightmare started.
I tried with 3 to 4 agents, to reach each of them I had to be on hold music for around 10 mins, but they just either put me on hold or transfer to another one not even asking me or cutting the call
Finally at around 9: 45 pm I got hold of a supervisor Chris Savage through Nina and put a official complain but I didn't get any ref # to the complain and I was told that they will research internally and won't get back to me of the outcome. I got to know that I can go online MYATT and file a official complain

Apple walk

Just came from an Apple Walk - okay let me explain it.

After having my lunch or in the afternoon I feel little down (physically) so try to go for a small walk and found that I can kill two birds with a single stone. I eat the apple that I bring to work and get the small walk. So I named it as Apple Walk

What the heck is happening with climate

Today is 8th of January in year 2012 and the temperature is 42 degree. There is no sign of snow fall so far even though in October there was a snow storm but luckily didn't hit Quincy even though in the West it was devastating specially in the week of Halloween. But in my entire life experience in this country I never had this kind of experience that in January you can wear hoody or a full sleeve T Shirts.

I remember in Year 2008, on January 3rd, I came to MEEI at Boston for a Eye doctor's appointment, and I didn't find the address right out of the Red line station at JFK. Wandered around for 10/15 minutes out with enough winter clothings but got fever when got back home and called sick for next 2 days. Later I checked the temperature was 20 degree F. And today on January 8th I'm wearing the jacket with half pulled zipper and no hood. Amazing!

By the way, is this something related to Climate change or Global Warming? Don't want to believe it that the sign would be so drastic and so quick but who knows what surprise is waiting for us from mother nature

Myth buster #1

If you hit your head at the door way on your way out, stop and sit back for few seconds and then leave home

I saw in my family to follow this saying of elders but when I asked why should we do that nobody had straight answers. I was just told to follow this while I was younger.

Anyway, what I think is the reason behind this (taking a pause) is that - when you hit on the door way that means you are either so busy to ignore your surrounding or you're out of your mind. Both of them are not good when you'll be in outside. So taking the pause is to reset your mind and start the way with your right foot

Credit Scoring system is a big scam

Credit scoring system is developed to confined people in a boundary of behavior for their entire life - specially to protect the Wall Street's big corporations.

Also the system is inherently incorrect - here is some of the reason behind my allegations -

1. Why the credit scoring system considers only the balance and payment history rather than the other factors - like your income, age, overall spending, and other life factors that impacts the person's financial decisions

2. It says if your account is older than 40 years or more than it's considered as good history - why the hell I need any credit worthiness at my 60 years? This is to scare people that you should pay corporations some sort of interests in your entire life (40 years is your entire life, right?) and they'll hand you over a great credit report to your grave!

3. Even though you're standing good for few years but only misses couple of payments, due to any reason, they'll plunge your score down - this doesn't reward for your long history of payment but punish for your single mistake - crap!

4. They punish you if you look for affordable credit or do shop around for better rate within a short (?) period of time (for them it's 12 months!) then they'll again punish you by drastically lowering your score. The justification for the lowering of score is that they're not sure whether I'm in a bad shape financially. Why the hell you always get the benefit of doubts.
